One Item, Three Ways: Pastel Pants

I recently did a post on How to Wear: Pastel and if you’re looking to introduce soft tones to your wardrobe, colourful denim is probably the easiest way to do so. Whether you have a preference for a monochromatic colour scheme or bolder splashes, pastel is easier to wear than you may think. Start with pale blue for an understated alternative to traditional jeans and work your way up to more “risqué” shades like orange sherbet & cotton candy. I have recently developed a passion for relatively obscure magazine titles. Beautifully styled and executed these magazines are print at it’s best – every issue feels like a collector’s item. I’ll always pick up my monthly stack of the usual suspects but it’s a true pleasure to find material that strays from the ubiquitous trend mill.

Moody red velvet was touted as one of the hottest colours for fall 2011, now along comes Chloé’s pre-Fall 2012 collection showing that this dramatic shade will continue to go strong for months to come. While certainly a statement, deep burgundy seems so wearable even when done head-to-toe.
