NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. We are interested in your best fashion creation (each an “Outfit” or collectively, the “Outfits”). We want you to create your best fashion look and showcase it to us and to the world via social media. Your Outfit must be created and assembled by you and you only. Give it all you got and make it beautiful, because it will even be judged by Afiya Francisco. Our Style House fashion expert. If your Outfit is chosen, you could not only win an HTC Mobile Device from Sponsor, but also a one thousand dollar ($1,000) CDN shopping spree! 1. CONTEST PERIOD
The Style House contest (the "Contest") begins on May 8, 2013 at 12:01 AM Eastern Time ("ET") and ends on May 22, 2013 at 11:59 PM ET (the "Contest Period").
The Contest is sponsored by HTC Corporation (the “Sponsor”). For the purposes of the Contest, the “Contest Group” is composed of the Sponsor and Say Media, Inc. (“Say Media”) together with their respective affiliates and related companies, including without limitation their parent, sister and subsidiary companies, retailers, franchisees, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers of material and services related to the Contest, and any other corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship or other legal entity directly involved in the Contest and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and other representatives.
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of eighteen (18) as of the date of entry. Excluded from eligibility are officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of Contest Group, and members of any immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouses, regardless of where they live) or households (whether or not related) of such officers, directors, employees, agents and sales representatives.
3. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Internet access required. Online entry through the Platforms (as defined below) only; no other means of submission will be accepted. For the purposes of this Contest and these Official Contest Rules an “Entry” or collectively, the “Entries”, shall include the “Photo”, the “Outfit” and the “Entry”, as each term is defined herein.
To enter the Contest, take a photograph (the “Photo”) of you wearing your finished Outfit and post or tweet a picture of it on one of the following social media platforms (each and collectively, the “Platforms”): Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest AND include: (a) the hashtag #HTCOne; AND (b) a link to the Contest post on www.thestylehouse.ca (the “Website”) AND (c) in the comments section of the post, put a link to your entry and you will automatically be entered and receive one (1) entry (each an “Entry” or collectively, the “Entries”) into the Contest. NOTE: You MUST include all three elements noted above or your Entry will be void and not eligible for consideration in this Contest. IMPORTANT: remember, your Photo will be posted on the Platforms for viewing by the general public; therefore, be sure that you are comfortable with your Photo before posting or tweeting it. If you do not want your Photo to be made public, do not enter this Contest. For the purposes of this Contest and these Official Contest Rules the “Photo” shall include the “Outfit”, as each term is defined herein.
All Photos and Outfits must adhere to the Submission Guidelines outlined in Rule 4 below. Limit: One (1) Entry per person during the Contest Period. Each Entry must be submitted by the entrant him or herself. Entrant may only use one (1) social media account in connection with this Contest. Any attempts to exceed the maximum number of Entries per person is a violation of these Official Contest Rules and may result in disqualification. Entry must be received during the Contest Period. The clock used by the Sponsor in connection with the receipt of the Entries will be the official clock to determine the date and time the Entry was received. Use of automated devices is prohibited; automated Entries (including but not limited to Entries submitted using any robot, script, macro or other automated service) are not permitted and may result in disqualification.
By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or the Judge.
4. PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES (the “Submission Guidelines”)
Your Photo must: (i) meet the technical specification of the Platform through which you are submitting the Photo; (e.g., size, format, etc.) (ii) show you (and only you) wearing the Outfit you have designed; and (iii) be submitted to Sponsor through one (1) of the approved Platforms during the Contest Period.
By participating in the Contest and submitting a Photo, each entrant warrants and represents that his/her Photo:
The Sponsor reserves the right to deem ineligible and exclude from the Contest any Photo that the Sponsor, in its sole and absolute discretion, determines is not befitting or compliant with the Submission Guidelines and/or these Official Contest Rules.
By entering this Contest and submitting a Photo, you acknowledge and agree that your Photo will be posted on the Platforms and/or the Website for public viewing. You hereby irrevocably, perpetually, and without limitation, grant the Sponsor the unlimited right and permission to use, post, publish, adapt, edit and/or modify such Photo (and name in connection with your Photo) on the Platforms, and on the Website and waive all your rights, including moral rights, in and to the Photo, without notice or compensation.
If you are selected as the winner, you agree to grant all right, title and interest in and to your Photo to Sponsor for use in any and all manner or media (whether now known or hereafter devised) anywhere in the world, in perpetuity, for any purpose, including without limitation, for purposes of advertising Sponsor, the Website or Sponsor’s product or services and you agree to sign a release to this effect.
5. HOW TO WIN
At the end of the Contest Period, all eligible Entries will be reviewed by a Style House fashion expert (the “Judge”). The Judge will review the eligible Entries according to the criteria and assigned weighting set forth below (the “Judging Criteria”) and select one (1) potential winner.

In the event of a tie, the entrant who submitted the Photo that received the higher score in the Fashion Styling and Sophistication category will be determined the potential winner.
The odds of being selected as eligible to win will depend on a combination of: (i) the total number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Period and (ii) the score the Photo receives by the Judge in accordance with the Judging Criteria outlined above.
6. PRIZE CLAIM CONDITIONS
Selected entrant will be notified by email on or May 25, 2013. Please check your email and spam filters. Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant (and the parent/legal guardian of the selected entrant if selected entrant is under the age of majority in his/her province/territory of residence) will be required to complete and return to Sponsor (or its authorized agent) by the deadline specified in the documents a written declaration and release form, releasing the Contest Group from any liability in connection with this Contest or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, or the merchandise for which it is redeemed. Return of any prize or winner notification as undeliverable, inability to reach selected entrant or failure of selected entrant to respond to notification within seven (7) business days of first attempt by Sponsor or Sponsor’s agent, failure to provide proof of eligibility (if requested), release documents, or other required documentation in a timely manner, or other non-compliance with these Official Contest Rules may result in disqualification, forfeiture of the prize and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, selection of an alternate eligible entrant for the forfeited prize, who will be subject to disqualification in the same manner.
There is one (1) prize available to be won consisting of the following:
Colour and style of mobile device may vary and will be determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion. Activation, usage and cellular/data plans are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the prize: $2,500 CDN
Prize will be awarded only to verified winner. ARV determined as of May 1, 2013. Prices are subject to change; retailers may sell for less. Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash or otherwise; however, the Contest Group reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value, in cash or otherwise, at its sole discretion, if a prize, or any component of any prize, cannot be awarded for any reason. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. Sponsor makes no representations or warranties with respect to any prize. Prize includes delivery to one (1) Canadian address only, as supplied by selected winner. Any other costs or expenses associated with the prize will be the responsibility of selected winner.
8. PERSONAL INFORMATION
Sponsor and its authorized agents will collect, use, and disclose the personal information you provide when you enter the Contest for the purposes of administering the Contest and prize fulfillment. By entering this Contest, you consent to such collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information. The Platforms may be hosted on servers in the United States, and the personal information you provide may therefore also be subject to the laws of the United States.
By accepting a prize, winner agrees to Sponsor's use of his/her name, city/province of residence, picture, biographical information, statements, voice and likeness in any advertising and publicity Sponsor may conduct relating to the Contest in any media or format, whether now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice.
9. RIGHT TO VOID / TERMINATE / SUSPEND / MODIFY
Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or modify this Contest, or these Official Contest Rules, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or obligation if, in Sponsor's sole opinion, any factor interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Official Contest Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, if the Contest, or any part thereof, is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, programming errors, or technical failures, which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, void any suspect Entries and: (a) terminate the Contest, or any portion thereof; (b) modify or suspend the Contest, or any portion thereof, to address the impairment and then resume the Contest, or relevant portion, in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Contest Rules; and/or (c) award the Prize from among the eligible, non-suspect Entries received up to the time of the impairment in accordance with the winner selection criteria discussed above.
10. GENERAL CONDITIONS
Winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth herein. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be returned or acknowledged. Mass Entries, automated Entries, Entries submitted by third parties, and any Entries or prize claims that are late, incomplete, fraudulent, illegible, unidentified or delayed will be void. All Entries and prize claims are subject to verification. Proof of Entry submission does not constitute proof of receipt. Entrants agree to abide by these Official Contest Rules. Decisions of Sponsor, the Judge and/or any independent contest judging organization will be final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Contest Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Contest Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of the Official Contest Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the Official Contest Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein. Should a winner make any false statement(s) in any document referenced above, the winner will be required to promptly return to Sponsor his/her prize, or the cash value thereof. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, the operation of the Contest and/or the Platforms, violates the Official Contest Rules, or acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTEST OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the person who submitted any Entry, the authorized account holder of the social media account and/or e-mail address, as applicable, submitted at entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned a social media account and/or an e-mail address by an access provider, service provider, or other person or organization responsible for assigning social media accounts and/or e-mail addresses for the account associated with the submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
11. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASES
BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, ENTRANTS AGREE THAT CONTEST GROUP HAS NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, CLAIMS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS OR EXPENSES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES) TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM (A) ENTRY OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST, INCLUDING ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE PLATFORMS, (B) ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PERSONALITY OR PRIVACY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR PRIZE DELIVERY, OR (C) THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE, INCLUDING THE MERCHANDISE FOR WHICH IT IS REDEEMED. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, therefore such exclusions may not apply to you.
Without limiting the foregoing, the Contest Group and any of Sponsor's other agencies, suppliers or contractors, shall not be responsible for: (a) any incomplete or inaccurate information that is caused by Platform website users, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest; (b) lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, service provider, on-line systems, telephone networks or telephone lines, or any other connections; (c) the theft, destruction, loss or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries; (d) any problems with, or malfunctions or failures of, telephone networks or lines, computers or computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs; (e) garbled transmissions or miscommunications; (f) failure of any e-mail to be received by or from the Judge and/or any Contest judging organization or Sponsor for any reason, including but not limited to traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof or technical incompatibility; (g) damage to a user's computer equipment (software or hardware) occasioned by participation or downloading of materials related to this Contest; (h) printing, distribution, programming or production errors, and any other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise; or (i) technical, pictorial, typographical or editorial errors or omissions contained herein.
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Facebook is completely released of all liability by each entrant in this Contest. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to Sponsor and not Facebook.
