I really hope that [the book] inspires someone to take the step to get them on their path of where they want to be.

Style hungry mavens have long found inspiration among the beautiful spaces & images showcased on her wildly popular blog, Habitually Chic. Now in Heather's first coffee table book, Habitually Chic: Creativity at Work, the blogger extraordinaire broadens her scope to share inspirational stories from a fashionable set of personalities who have found their creative passion.

The Style House had a quick chat with the lovely author at a holiday preview for Chapters Indigo.

Heather's Personal Style inspiration in a nutshell:

Travel,  Magazines, Blogs, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Peter Som, Carolina Herrera (one day), Pink Tartan, J.Crew.

Always stylish or does even fashion need to take a break?

There is no being off duty. But it’s fun. I’m not someone who can go out of the house undone. That’s not how I grew up. I take personal pride in looking good, even if it’s in flats and jeans.

Flats or Heels?

Flats! I run around in New York. But I need to be able to get to where I’m going. I like to walk everywhere and see everything.
