Recently the American retail giant Chico's reached out to let me know that it was set to open its first Canadian store. I was intrigued, to be honest, I didn't know much about the brand, but, for some reason, presumed it wasn't my style. Flipping through the fall catalogue, I liked many of classic basics, but I was especially surprised & pleased by some of the more innovative pieces, in particular, this Chico's Faux-Leather Fringe Artisan Duster, that the team kindly sent over, along with a few other gems. I wore the duster to the store opening event – the metallic finish is a perfect muted shine and the layered fringe takes it to the next level. While I loved it thrown over this suede tunic and my Jason Wu booties, I think that it would be cool dressed down like this:

Chico's also has two additional store openings at Upper Canada in Newmarket and Mapleview in Burlington (8/29)
