Wendy Kam Marcy

There are two sides of me but I’m not indecisive!

Co-Founder, The Hip and Urban Girl's Guide (HUG).

Personality: Leonardo DiCaprio. He's such a versatile and talented actor. I've been a fan of his since Growing Pains! Album: Anything Rihanna. Designer: Wilfred (Aritzia) designer, Tenille Magnusson. Colour: Grey (yes, all 50 shades)! Astrological Sign: Gemini (there are two sides of me but I'm not indecisive)!

As one half of the super popular lifestyle site HUG, Wendy spends a good deal of time at the city's hottest destinations and events, making her one of the savviest girl's in the know – with a wardrobe to match. Today, she shares the details of her personal style with The Style House.

Do you prefer to dress for an occasion or for everyday?

Dress for everyday. When you are doing a dozen things at once and running all over the city, you want to be stylish but still comfortable.

Would you rather be overdressed or underdressed?

Overdressed. That way if I stick out like a sore thumb and people are staring, I know I still look good, haha!

Do you have a signature style or do you prefer to keep 'em guessing?

"Classic chic" is my signature style. Most of my wardrobe is from Aritzia, Club Monaco, J Crew, and C Wonder. I prefer investing in quality and timeless pieces that I can wear year after year.

Your all time favourite outfits:

I love my Diesel Grupee skinny jeans. If I'm heading to a work related event, I throw on a blazer and jazz it up. For a girls' night out I pair it with a cute tank top and some gold hardware bling.

I also have a closet full of little black dresses. They are great for all occasions! This one that I'm wearing for the MAD HOT Gala hosted by the National Ballet of Canada, is from BCBG Max Azria.

Your top three celeb style moments:

1. Kate Middleton's wedding dress was simply beautiful.

2. Natalie Portman 2011 Oscars – she had a baby bump but still looked stunning.

3. Mila Kunis 2011 Oscars – she wore that gorgeous lavender and lace dress.

What would you buy with an unexpected windfall?

I'll load up Prada and Marc Jacobs handbags, Tori Burch flats in all the colours, a couple of suits jackets from Theory and of course, I'll buy the entire Wilfred and Talula lines at at Aritzia!

Heels or flats?

Heels on the weekend and insert flats for the rest of the week.

Will you suffer for fashion or should it be comfortable? Is there an occasion that you will break this rule?

Like Lisa [co-founder of HUG], my suffering comes from being cold. I don't like wearing pants so I try to get away with shorts and dresses for as long as I can.

Always stylish or does even fashion need to take a break? Any exceptions?

I like to take breaks from fashion – that way when I do get dressed up, it feels extra special.

Team Anna (Wintour) or Team Carine (Roitfeld)?

Team Anna FTW!
